| Matt Liteplo Photographer A good picture draws you in and makes you keep looking, again and again. There’s just something about it that’s compelling, perfect. It’s got, as Matt Liteplo likes to say, “visual retention.” Perhaps this is what the Applied Arts editors thought when the magazine deemed Liteplo’s West Coast landscape images among the best they’d seen. Born in Ottawa, the fixie-riding barbecue master has been with Plexman since 2008. He’s honed his strong, graphic style, meeting high Plexman standards for lighting and finish. Unlike some photographers, who consider themselves rock stars and crave attention, Matt prefers to slip into a scene and wait in the weeds as the action unfolds, catching the spontaneity and honesty of a situation without anyone noticing.
