Our studio & client amenities

We own a beautiful 3,000 sq. ft. studio in downtown Toronto with a full kitchen, styling rooms, and all our own equipment.

High-end capture

We use medium-format digital cameras that capture up to 150 megapixel files – enough digital information for billboards or business cards.

Consistent quality control

Our in-house post-production team maintains three colour-managed editing suites, where our rigorous quality control ensures final images are flawless.

Our Team

Matthew Plexman, Founder & Principal Photographer

At age 12, Matthew started his career with a plastic Diana camera and two rolls of film. He is now a master photographer working internationally. Factory workers and CEOs, miners and astronomers, models and mothers; Matthew is respectful of everyone that he welcomes before his lens. He is generous with his knowledge and expertise, mentoring younger photographers and supporting the industry.

Cedric Swanek, Photographer, Digital Tech, Drone Pilot

Having worked with Matthew on his most complex jobs for over 10 years, Cedric is an invaluable addition to our team. An amazing shooter in his own right, Cedric is also a talented videographer, digital tech, retoucher and accomplished (and licensed) drone pilot. Aside from his immense technical knowledge, his easy manner and ready laugh make every shoot that much better. .

Nicki Peters, Finance/Production Manager

With positive energy and genuine good nature Nicki keeps the business side of our productions on track. She has worked in the photo industry for 30 years, ran her own agency for 15, and wrote the book on production management. So when the business side gets complicated, Nicki's a step ahead, keeping everything in balance.

Paulette Michayluk, Producer

As the newest member of Plexman Studio, and known to love a good challenge, Paulette embraces collaboration, making creative visions come alive. She has proven that she excels at devising ‘out of the box’ solutions to get things done. You’ll often find her with a dog by her side, a coffee in hand and film in her camera.

Bennie, Top Dog

Bennie hangs around the studio, coaxing our clients to smile with his playful nature and cuddly disposition. His soulful eyes and floppy ears always earn him the “employee of the month” award.
